How Redheads Can Bundle Up In Style This Season

Keep Warm and Look Cute Doing It

Did you know redheads can sense changes in temperature more quickly than people with other hair colors? It’s one of the strange but true facts that make redheads unique inside and out. With our sensitivity to temperature, it’s important to dress in a functional way to keep from getting too cold or overheating. Here are some tips on how to bundle up and stay stylish this winter.

Dress in Layers

Wearing layers is a redhead’s best friend. Lightweight layers allow you to remove what you need to when indoors but keep warm outdoors. Often layers can look bulky, so to keep things looking sleek and stylish, opt for lightweight, figure-hugging layers on the bottom close to the body and build outwards. Leggings and bodysuits are all great for layering under jeans or trousers. While tighter, long sleeve tops are perfect under sweaters and sweatshirts or even dresses.

Utilize Accessories

Once you have all your layers on, you’ll need some extra things to keep you warm. Pick stylish and coordinating accessories like hats, scarves, and gloves to give you that extra warmth but keep everything looking cohesive. We love stylish options like a cashmere scarf, fleece lined leather gloves, and cute hats. Fleece-lined, skin-colored or sheer black tights with or without a pattern are perfect for keeping your legs warm when wearing a skirt.

Always Bring Extra

If you’re going to be spending a lot of time outside, throw an extra layer in the car. Even if you don’t think you will need it, there’s nothing worse than wishing you had more warmth in the winter time. If you don’t have room, add a scarf or hat to your bag in case you need it.

Be Your Own Thermometer

If you’re feeling cold, add that extra layer, grab a jacket or throw on your fuzzy hat. Others might not be cold, but remember your body is telling you something, so layer up even if everyone seems to be fine.

Rock it like a Redhead!
