Last month, Taylor Swift fans got to experience Red (Taylor’s Version) for the very first time. This new release included all the original tracks from the Red album as well as some new songs from the vault and maybe the most anticipated addition to the album, a 10-minute version of the song All Too Well.
This new extended song also brought us a short film written and directed by Taylor Swift herself. The film focuses on two young lovers going through a tumultuous relationship and breakup. The female role is played by none other than redhead actress Sadie Sink.
Now if you’re not familiar with this redhead starlet, let us fill you in. Sadie Sink is a 19-year-old actress from Texas who landed her first acting job when she was just a year old. Sink is best known for playing Max Mayfield in the Netflix original series Stranger Things. Sink is known for her gorgeous natural red hair and fair skin.
At the end of the short film, a flash-forward shows us that Sink is in fact playing a young Taylor when Miss Swift herself dons red hair and plays the older version of Sinks’s character. Taylor Swift is known for her blonde hair, but this bold red move suits her.
The red hair might be a nod to the album’s title “Red”, or it might be an Easter egg hinting that Reputation is the next album to be re-recorded since Taylor rocked red hair in the Bad Blood music video. Regardless of why Taylor made this choice in hair color, we’re here for it!
