We love to recommend a mineral sunscreen for redheads because the ingredients are usually zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that act as a physical barrier — and prevents UV light from penetrating the skin. Think of mineral sunscreen as a force field. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are the only ingredients considered safe and effective by the FDA. They’re also much kinder to our sensitive skin.
