2 Simple Tips for Beautiful Lips

Updated: October 26th, 2023

Smile and the world smiles with you. But, cracked and chapped lips can put a damper on any face. Don’t worry, redheads. Thankfully, with the right products, your smile can become the best fashion accessory to accompany your red hair.

Use these two simple ‘redhead friendly’ tips to get the best pout:

1. The first step begins at home, when you first wake up. All you need is an old toothbrush and your favorite non-wax based lip balm. My favorite product for this is Aquaphor by Eucerin, available at any drug store. Apply a pea sized amount to your lips, then wet the toothbrush and gently brush your lips. This process gently and effectively removes all the dead skin on your lips.

Now dab your lips dry with a clean towel, and reapply your lip balm. Not only should your lips look and feel instantly smoother, your balm won’t get clumped on the dead skin instead of penetrating and healing your lips.

2. I try to stay away from lip gloss since they’re usually sticky and drying, but I still like to give my lips that extra oomph of impact. For this, my go-to product is O-Plump by Smashbox. This lip plumper contains Goji Berry-C Complex for the ultimate lip perfection. But my favorite feature of this product is the fact that this clear serum works with your own lip color to give your smile the natural shade of pink for your face, no need to worry about color clashing with your skin tone, freckles, or red hair.

So for work time or play time, date night or relaxing nights in, perfect your pout and you’ll really have something to smile about.
