March H2BAR Subscription Box Review

It's all about the 'Redhead Friendly' Approval Process

The March “Know All About H2BAR” beauty box was all about explaining the ‘Redhead Friendly’ approval process. This process is the backbone of How to be a Redhead and how they choose the beauty products each month. All products are tested on at least 2 redheads for a minimum of 7 days. Founders, Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti, created this process to make it easy for redheads everywhere to fall in love with products without any hesitation or regret.

1. Roux Revlon Shampoo, Conditioner Packet & Hair Tween Root Coverup ($12, Shop now):

Our red hair is special. We have always known that. Finally, some beauty companies are realizing this as well. Roux Shampoo and Conditioner contains a keratin complex which will not only protect your hair color (natural or ‘chosen’), but will also strengthen and prevent any damage from the sun. If you are a ‘chosen’ redhead, the Roux Revlon Hair Tween Root Coverup might be just what you need ’til you see your hair stylist.

2. Just For Redheads Cream Shadow in ‘Delicate’ ($22, Shop now):

This paraben-free creamy shadow is a great shade for all redheads. It should, as it’s made by a company called Just For Redheads! A perfect color for a casual day or night look. It has a touch of shimmer to give it an edge without making you look “too made up”. It can also be used as a highlighter on your brow bone and upper cheekbone.

3. Pretty Woman ‘Mermaids Are Real’ Nail Polish ($9, Shop now):

I love this color because it is different with every move of your hand. A slight blue tint at the base turns into an iridescent shiny pinkish purple depending on how you look at it. A must-have ready-for-spring color that lasts and lasts!

4. H2BAR Custom Magnet “Red Hair Is More Than A Color, It’s a Lifestyle” ($10):

I make sure this magnet is right in the middle of my refrigerator so I can be reminded on a daily basis – even on those not-so-great days.

5. Cremo Shaving Crème ($6, Shop now):

Because a redhead’s skin is so sensitive, it is really difficult to find the right shaving products that won’t leave your skin red, itchy or irritated. It has a creamy texture which allows you to get a smooth, no-nicks shave. Great for male and female redheads who have a sensitivity to drugstore shaving creams.

6. Elizabeth Mott Queen of the Fill Eyebrow Gel in ‘Auburn’ ($20, Shop now):

Trying to find the right brow color isn’t always easy. This eyebrow gel is ON FLEEK. Not only does it allow you to get the shape and definition your brows need, but it gives them a tint lasting all day.

7. Crack Styling Cream ($7, Shop now):

A great multi-use hair product for after-washing. Filled with açaí extract and wheat protein, this product conditions from the cuticle roots right down to the ends your red hair. It protects against damage from hot styling instruments, drying products and even chlorine. It even protects your hair from the sun’s damaging rays.

8. Tressa Watercolors Shampoo in ‘Liquid Copper’ ($5, Shop now):

Use this shampoo if you are experiencing fading, brassy red hair. It’ll keep your hair color true and vibrant without the harsh chemicals. Your hair will feel silky and refreshed.

9. Albertini Divine Skin Hydrator ($5, Shop now):

This is a perfect moisturizer for redheads, especially those with sensitive skin. Use IN the shower, immediately after cleansing and rinsing, when skin is still damp. You’ll step out with hydrated, spring-ready skin.

10. Starlooks Lip Gloss ($15, Shop now):

With the trend of liquid lipstick hitting the scene hard, I have to admit I’m quickly seeing my favorite colored lip glosses fading away. I used this gloss and instantly fell in love. Wear it alone for a subtle look or over a lipstick for an added pop.

11. Crystal Body Deodorant Towelette ($2, Shop now):

This natural deodorant actually works! It contains no aluminum chlorohydrate, parabens, phthalates or fragrances and is biodegradable.

Rock it like a Redhead!
