If you’ve seen any of the photos and videos from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, you know hair gems are back in. These cute glittery hair accessories were hot in the 2000s and now they are back in action. We think hair gems will be everywhere this spring and summer, so here’s how redheads can rock them.
What are hair gems?
If this is your first time hearing about hair gems, you might be wondering what the heck we are talking about. Hair gems are little rhinestones (or sometimes pearls) that secure to hair strands. It makes the rhinestones appear like they are floating in the hair. It gives a very ethereal look and elevates any hairstyle.
How to apply hair gems
Hair gems are super easy to put in and you can do it right at home. If you want to make things easier, simply get a hair gems stamper like the Conair Quick Gems Hair Jeweler or the Blinger Gem Stamper. You can also install the gems yourself using loose gems and lash glue, or gems with an adhesive backing like these Outus Hair Pearls or these Self-Adhesive Rhinestone Gem Stickers.

How to rock hair gems
Hair gems can look amazing in any hairstyle, but we really love them in loose waves, a stickled back look, or even in a braid or ponytail. Gems are perfect for special events like weddings and graduation, and of course for concerts, parties, and even just a time when you want to add a little glam to your red hair.
