6 At-Home Redhead Beauty Ideas To Practice On Halloween Night

Don't let the day go by without celebrating!

On a normal year, a redhead’s Halloween is usually filled with parties, get-togethers, trick-or-treating and spooky sugary fun. Unfortunately, this year will look a little different for many who choose to stay home due to COVID. But, this doesn’t have to mean Halloween has to be just another pandemic night in. Celebrate Halloween while also beautifying your red hair, skin, and more!

This list of themed nights might be just what you are looking for to kick start your Halloween and pamper yourself:

1. Frankenstein

What says Halloween more than a classic monster movie night? Maybe a green face mask selfie with your best Frankenstein’s monster impression.

Miss Spa Matcha Green Tea Mud Mask is a great option with its antioxidants and vitamin C. It’s the perfect one-two combo to bring your skin back from the dead. You can also treat yourself to a nice manicure. If you want to stick to a Frankenstein theme, you can use all your favorite shades of green and add in the bolts and stitches with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen.

2. Mermaid

Why not embrace your mermaid red hair this Halloween? This means a nice bubble bath and pedicure with the rest of the night spent watching your favorite underwater flicks. Try Lush Cosmetics’ Mermaid Tail Bath Bomb with coconut oil, grapefruit oil, and ylang-ylang oil for a tropical and soothing experience. If you want to lean into the Halloween spirit, try Pumpkin Spice Latte Bath Bomb by Soapie Shoppe. While seafoam greens aren’t quite in season, the not-quite blue not-quite green shade is calling to be worn by a redhead and Essie’s Turquoise & Caicos is one of these.

3. Weasley Family

This can’t be a list of Halloween night fun without including the whole family. The Weasley’s are one memorable literary and big screen redheaded family, so of course, they deserve their own themed night in. Why not snuggle in with your household members or family members who live with you for a night of crafts and family-favorite movies? It doesn’t have to be a Harry Potter marathon while making Weasley sweaters but you can always learn a new crafting skill waiting for your favorite scene to come up. And, you can always purchase a set of Wizard Makeup Brushes to really feel like a Weasley.

4. Witch

One of the most popular Halloween costumes is a witch. Whether it be horror-inspired, cute and sparkly, or more of a nature-themed witchy look this classic costume is a staple for its timelessness and versatility. This Halloween you can post throwback pics of times you might have dressed up as a witch along with a selfie of your take on a work from home witch look. This can be followed by your favorite witch or wizard movies and tv shows, there’s plenty out there with fellow redheads in magical roles. This evening can also include your own potion-making: DIY beauty. My personal favorite right now is a coconut oil and sugar lip scrub to help combat the effects of the face mask.

5. Orange you glad you’re a redhead?

If you aren’t too sure that Halloween can be a Halloween without the trick or treating or get-togethers you can turn it into a Redhead Season day inside. If the leaves in your yard are turning those lovely fall hues make an at-home photoshoot out of it, see if you can find leaves that best match your hair color. You can still carve a pumpkin and turn it into a competition over zoom or with those in your quarantine bubble. Not into carving? There are plenty of pumpkin treats and pumpkin face/body scrubs, face masks, and washes you can test out.

6. Literary night

This one is for the redhead bookworms out there. There are a good handful or two redhead literary characters that we grew up with or discovered later on that we wished we’d gone on literary adventures with. You can turn the day into a day to rediscover the reason you clicked the characters and possibly share that experience with someone else. For example, you can re-watch and re-read one (or all) of your favorite iterations of Anne of Green Gables.

Want to really feel like Anne while reading away? Shop a woven hat, jean overalls and enjoy a face mask from Farmacy to attain Anne’s youthful glow.
