Jess loves being a redhead. Growing up, it was hard for her to find make-up artists and hair stylists who understand red hair. She said, “I can’t tell you how many times I had to get my make-up done for a party and someone put no mascara, chalky foundation, and brown lipstick on me… so How to be a Redhead is very helpful!”
She loves walking into a room and instantly standing out. Unlike blondes and brunettes, she doesn’t have to wear a loud outfit to get noticed. Her red hair is loud enough! She thinks there is a traditional beauty and natural glamour to redheads (just look at Renaissance paintings of women or Old Hollywood actresses).
Jess is feisty, strong-willed, and smart; and if that’s what defines her as a redhead, she’s okay with it! She also loves the little “nod and smile” that all redheads give each other on the street… like we’re part of an exclusive club.
