“I feel that my daughter Cailley should be the Redhead of the Week because as she has gone through high school completely embracing her red hair,” says Cailley’s mom upon submitting her daughter’s photo for How to be a Redhead’s weekly feature. “When she was little she was teased and occasionally came home crying. I am a redhead and was teased as a child as well.”
Cailley’s mom learned to embrace her red hair and was determined that her two children (both redheads) would grow up feeling comfortable and loving their unique appearance. In her younger years, Cailley looked up to redhead heroes like Disney‘s Merida and strong actors like, Julianne Moore and Jessica Chastain. Cailley’s mother ended by saying, “My daughter is strong and ready to rock the world.”
