Every year on the first Monday in May, some of fashion’s best and brightest gather along with the A-list celebrities at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the annual Costume Institute Gala. It’s one of the biggest fundraisers in Hollywood and it’s always entertaining to watch redheads rock the red carpet. Some years there are a few and others, it seems like redheads are on the red carpet non-stop. The latter is the case for 2019’s famous Met Gala affair.
The theme is Camp: Notes on Fashion. It’s based on Susan Sontag’s essay Notes on Camp. The gist of her essay is really about those who paved the way and changed society with their boldness.
Take a look at redheads who pay homage to some of the most creative in fashion/fairytale history:
1. Madelaine Petsch

2. Bette Midler
3. Natasha Lyonne
4. Emma Stone

5. Julianne Moore
