Golden Globes 2016: The Redheads On The Red Carpet

Blue is definitely the IT color this year!

Posted on

Tonight is the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California. It’s always fun to see which colors redheads will rock on the red carpet, and it also gives insight into what’s on trend. See the leading ladies below and comment telling us what you think of their looks!

1. Julianne Moore:

Total mermaid vibes from the one and only “Ginger Icon”. Moore is wearing a navy sequin Tom Ford dress with simple makeup and hair; the goal being to let her dress do the talking.

Her longtime hairstylist, Marcus Francis, created her look. See How to be a Redhead’s 2014 interview with him!

2. Amy Adams:

In 2014, we saw her in red and she’s bringing back the bright color in 2016 with this tangerine-orange gown. She proves redheads can wear orange.

3. Bryce Dallas Howard:

Fun fact: This year was Bryce Dallas Howard‘s 1st time at the Golden Globe Awards. It’s pretty shocking for how famous her dad, Ron Howard, is. We’re excited to see her on the red carpet with (another) sequin blue dress designed by Jenny Packham

When asked about her dress, she told the commentator she picked it up herself at Neiman Marcus this week.

“I like having lots of options for a size six as opposed to maybe one option, so I always go to department stores,” she said on the red carpet.

4. Bernadette Peters:

Classic red! This deep crimson toned dress is the perfect shade for a redhead. Like most women on the red carpet, she chose a strapless, plunging neckline.

5. Sarah Hay:

Hay is famous for her role in Starz min-series Flesh and Bone. She chose a gray Marchesa embroidered gown. And we must say, her hair is our favorite amongst the rest. It is voluminous, yet classy.

All of the leading ladies have one thing in common this year, beautiful hair. All of them (except Ms. Peters) chose a simple round brush blowout for redheads. It’s easy to do. Watch the tutorial below:
