The Grammy’s are the biggest night in music of the year, as well as the biggest night for redheads and aspiring redheads. For the 2016 Grammy’s, redheads of all age, both male and female, suited up in their most alluring attire and allowed their red hair to make a statement.
A How to be a Redhead tweet from last night summarized the evening well:
Here are some notable redhead Grammy’s looks:
1. LADY GAGA:
Not typically a woman with red locks, Lady Gaga donned orange-red hair for the occasion to pay homage to David Bowie. With some bright blue eyeshadow and a matching Marc Jacobs blazer, she embodied Bowie’s true spirit. And her hair wasn’t the only thing that was red- Gaga also wore some shiny red platform heels.
2. FLORENCE WELCH:
A free spirit who seems to march to the beat of her own fashion drum, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine decided to simply be herself. Her natural red locks were worn down and wavy, complementing her flowing, pink Gucci dress. This was one of the more whimsical and Bohemian looks of the night, complete with colorful stars and moons dotting the dress. Florence truly knows what it means to embrace your unique spirit and Rock it like a Redhead.
3. ED SHEERAN:
The talented Brit songwriter went ultra-casual for the awards show, and it paid off! Ed accepted Grammy’s for Song of the Year and Solo Pop Performance in a tuxedo and sneakers. He wore his longer red hair natural, and sported a beard. Sometimes simple is best, and Ed has proven this with a couple of Grammy wins now under his belt.
4. MEGHAN TRAINOR:
Meghan is also not typically a redhead either, but this look served her well. With her freshly dyed tresses in loose curls, Meghan rocked a sparkly black Michael Costello gown. Many Grammy attendees chose to show more skin this year, but Meghan kept it more conservative on the red carpet. Clearly, she knew that her new red hair would be the main focus of her look.
Last week, her hair stylist told The Today Show, that Meghan had commented on her new hair color saying, “I was born to be a redhead.”
5. BONNIE RAITT:
At 66 years old (can you believe it?), the ageless Bonnie Raitt still dresses young and fresh for the red carpet. Bonnie was among the stars who performed a tribute to B.B. King, and she wore a hip outfit to match her blues guitar skills! This all black pants and jacket combo was the perfect ensemble, paired along her signature red strands and single silver streak. Great to see Bonnie still rocking it in true redhead fashion after all of these years.

Rock it like a Redhead!
