How to Use An Aloe Vera Plant For a Sunburn

This plant has been used for more than 5,000 years and you'll understand why:

Edited: June 21, 2021

If you’ve discovered aloe based products aren’t as good as the direct application of the plant to skin, you are definitiely right. The aloe vera plant is one of the most powerful and well-known medicinal plants and has been used for more than 5,000 years. If you’re suffering from a sunburn, apply aloe vera to your redhead skin for quick and easy relief.

Here is how to directly apply pure aloe vera:

1. Split a piece of the plant into two in order to expose as much of the juicy insides. Then gently rub that juicy center on the sunburn. You will get a sticky crust of aloe, but know that as it dries, it will soak into the skin.

Warning: It definitely smells weird and it feels weird, but it’s totally worth doing.

2. For best results, apply to sunburn immediately. Re-apply a 2-3 times after an hour or so or until the burn cools down.

Aloe vera is a miracle plant when your skin is aching, but it is good to know that your skin will still peel if your burn is bad. If you’ve tried every aloe lotion on the market and don’t like the results, return to the straight application of the aloe vera plant. Shop for aloe vera plants.
